SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES will begin on Sunday, September 14, with the 10 a.m. Family Mass in the Church. Religious instruction is held in the school immediately following the Mass. Late registration will close on Sept. 1. Registration will open again on Sept. 15. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS. Re-registration forms have been mailed to current students. Forms for new students can be found on the Sunday School website or picked up at the parish office. Volunteers are needed to serve in this important Parish Ministry. All who work with children follow a screening process as required by the Archdiocese. Fordham’s University’s Graduate School of Religion & Religious Education is hosting a lecture by author and speaker on spirituality Donna Frietas, Ph.D. During this lecture she will discuss the findings of her research about students attitudes regarding hookup culture, sex, romance, and dating on college campuses today and how a pervasive interest in spirituality fits into this mix. BAPTISM On Sunday, September 17th, we will have the sacrament of Baptism. We meet with the parents this Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, at 7:30 pm in the Rectory. We welcome the following children who have been baptized into the Christian family here at Blessed Sacrament in recent weeks: Vesper Yoshiko Lee, Grace Eleanor Prouty, Audrey Lee-Ann Quintero, Nina Elizabeth Rains, Clare Matilda Ryan and William Joseph Grande.
