FAITH & COMMUNITY FORUM: "CREATING A CITY FOR ALL OF GOD'S PEOPLE" In June of last year, over 1,400 people of faith held a Mayoral Candidates Summit at First Baptist Church of East Elmhurst with those running to be the next mayor of New York City. At that forum, Mr. Bill de Blasio promised that if he was elected, he would work with the faith community to leverage Sandy recovery funds and create good jobs & affordable housing for struggling families. Join members of Blessed Sacrament and over 2,000 people of faith from across the city one year later on Tuesday, July 29, at 7pm at Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York in Jamaica, Queens, as we lift our voices in support of a Jobs Program that benefits our people, real affordable housing in our neighborhoods, and a fair chance at employment for our formerly incarcerated sisters and brothers. Transportation will be provided on buses leaving from Blessed Sacrament. Please sign up in the back of our church after service. And for more information, please contact Luke Mayville at (208) 610-1783 or
