RETREAT AT ST JOSEPH'S SEMINARY The date has been changed from Feb. 17th to the weekend of April 10th. This is an invitation for young men (18-35) to spend a weekend at the Seminary on a silent retreat. Please pick up a flyer.
BLACK HISTORY MONTH Sunday, Feb. 5th, at 2 p.m. in St. Patrick's Cathedral, there is a celebration of Catholic Faith and Black Culture. DIABETES One in every 8 New Yorkers has diabetes. The only chronic disease that is growing in prevalence, it directly affects the lives of more than 1.7 million people across the State – double the numbers seen in 1994. Starting Feb. 2nd, a diabetes awareness & prevention class in both Spanish & English began at Holy Name Church (W. 96th St./Amsterdam Ave.) We have developed a 6-week class to help people prevent and manage this disease. The class is free. As part of the program we also give away incentives like water bottles, pedometers, exercise band and measuring cups.

WORLD MARRIAGE DAY – FEB. 12TH. Next Sunday is World Marriage Day. The longest married couple in the archdiocese will be honored at the Mass in St. Patrick's Cathedral at 10:15 a.m. A reception will follow.
