CHRIST THE KING - November 23, 2014

Dear Parishioners and Friends:

Thursday of this week is Thanksgiving- a day when we as a nation pause to say thank you - for all that we have in family and friends, the great country that is ours. I invite you to begin that day in offering thanks to God - the author of all good.

The parish Thanksgiving Day Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am. There will be no other Masses that day. At the Mass all are asked to bring canned food at the offertory. Every person young and old and in between will be invited to come forward and place their gift at the altar. For those who prefer, there will be a basket for cash donations.

To those who cannot be with us on Thanksgiving morning – having traveled elsewhere, maybe back home, know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers. May you return safely.

This weekend at all the Masses we will be commissioning lectors and Eucharistic ministers. Thank you for your willingness to serve and enhance the liturgical life of the parish.

Pray for peace.

Queridos Feligreses y Amigos;
