| We
have belonged to Blessed Sacrament parish for nearly ten years. There is a clear and warm sense of community here; people come from all over the city to attend Mass and be a part of that community. Our daughter attends Sunday School, which has deepened our connection with other families in the parish. Blessed Sacrament feels like a traditional, "old-fashioned" (in a very good way) kind of place while at the same time being modern and absolutely current. The Church itself is quite beautiful and has been designated a landmark building by the city. We continue to go there because, even more than feeling welcome, it feels like home. found Blessed Sacrament in 1992 when I was looking for CCD instruction for my oldest daughter who attended public school on the Upper West Side. I had been a member of the St. Vincent Ferrer parish since 1985 and looked into CCD everywhere - the scheduling was either late in the afternoon on weekdays and at considerable expense. I was recommended to Blessed Sacrament and found a warm, loving community who met every Sunday in the small auditorium of the school with classes immediately following on Sunday mornings - and free! My children have all gone through their religious training at Blessed Sacrament and are always disappointed when we travel - masses elsewhere never measure up to the warmth of the Family Mass here. It has outgrown the original site many times over with dozens of new families but my children and I feel at home. Anne
